Vintage Rosenthal Porcelain Raymond Loewy Form 2000 Vase
This amazing midcentury vase is by Rosenthal out of Germany. Rosenthal’s ‘Form 2000’ shape was one of the first efforts by Rosenthal to define what modern dinnerware was going to be. In the 1950s Philipp Rosenthal commissioned some of the top designers of the era. Raymond Loewy designed the ‘2000’ shape in 1954. The name "2000 " references the future Millennium, while the hourglass shape expresses timeliness through the ages. It's made of fine German porcelain with an elegant black floral design.
This hourglass shape turned out to be one of Rosenthal’s most successful and is still today an example of timeless midcentury design.
This spectacular vase is approximately 8.75" high and 3.5" diameter and is in fabulous vintage condition.
