OSMANKÄÄMI design is a tribute to Liisa Hjelt, who was the first textile designer of the Lapuan Kankurit company. Nature and vegetation are an endless source of inspiration in jacquard woven textiles. Liisa Hjelt designed the beloved jacquard wall hanging OSMANKÄÄMI in the 1970s.
As Lapuan Kankurit is celebrating its 50th anniversary, our company’s chief designer Elina Helenius wanted to honor Liisa Hjelt´s extensive and diverse output by doing her own interpretation of the same motives that Liisa channeled in her time.
This product is made out of 100% linen. Ecological flax is grown in Normandy, Europa and it is traceable 100% european Masters of Linen long staple linen yarn. All yarns are spun as well as dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and fulfil the ÖKO-TEX certificate requirements.
