Mike Kasun

Mike Kasun has a strong connection to the natural world as first and foremost a birdwatcher, gardener and floral designer. He is a graduate of Milwaukee School of Art (the original MIAD) and as a painter, Mike focuses on birds. He draws and paints from live models he experiences in nature and visits the countryside to paint landscapes with watercolor. He sculpts with found objects such as weathered beach wood and rusted metal. Mike is also founding member of the Flesh Experts which is a collective of artists dedicated to the visual study of the human form. In addition, Mike is a self-proclaimed novice historian of electronic dance and pop music, a bass and beat addict and vinyl collector since the 1070’s.
