Russell Wright was a noted American industrial designer whose American Modern ceramics made by Steubenville have become a beacon of classic midcentury tableware. It was the most widely sold American ceramic dinnerware in history, manufactured between 1939 and 1959.Wright's approach to design came from the belief that the dining table was the center of the home.
The salad plate measures 10" diameter, dates to the 1940's and features the timeless midcentury style of his "American Modern" collection that his tableware design is known for. It has the authenticity stamp of "Russell Wright mfg. by Steubenville on the bottom.
In great vintage condition with no chips. Variations in glazing are to be expected and part of the allure, as each piece was handmade.
