Kay Bojesen's wooden Monkey was born in 1951: A little Monkey with a great personality which has come to signify a gift from a very special person. For christenings, birthdays, school leavers and weddings. A classic and a dear friend for life – from being a popular interior piece in the playroom to a much-loved design icon in a future home. The wooden Monkey is manufactured from plantation teak and limba wood. As the teak is from a plantation, there may be dark spots and stripes, but exposure to air and light will reduce these over time. Accordingly, there will be variations in the wood from monkey to monkey, making every single monkey utterly unique.
The Monkey in oiled teak and limba wood measures 3.7" in height and is made of FSC® certified wood, which adorns the hands and feet, face and tummy and gives the new mini Monkey a cheerful and youthful air.
