Marimekko Pieni Kurre Pot Holder

This potholder features the Pieni Kurre pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The potholder has a padded filling and a hanging loop. Due to the large pattern repeat, each one is different and will look different from the image provided.

The potholder is made of unbleached cotton panama. 50% of the cotton used in this product is recycled. 50% of the polyester used in the filling is recycled. Unbleached fabrics, as well as fabrics containing recycled fibers, have a natural lively color and surface where small different colored areas may appear. There may be differences between products regarding this feature.

Extending Aino-Maija Metsola’s tales from the forest, the Kurre pattern presents a lively brood of squirrels collecting and hiding nuts – squirrels were a common sight in the designer’s childhood yard. The initial artwork was created on paper using a brush and ink.
