Marimekko Rutsjebane 40x60 Cushion Cover

This cushion cover features the Rutsjebane pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The cover has a concealed zipper on one side and a narrow, flanged edge.

Part of Marimekko’s Artist in Residence program, Danish textile artist Vibeke Rohland focuses on removing the superfluous to reveal the essence of form, color and contrast. Rutsjebane is a flow of consciousness in color: letting loose with paint in organic, overlapping stripes that resist full control. It was created on-site at the Marimekko printing mill. Rutsjebane is the Danish word for “roller coaster.”

Our cushion covers are cut using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary. Each item is unique.

This product is made of a cotton and linen blend, which contains 48% recycled cotton, 31% organic cotton, and 21% linen. Unbleached fabrics, as well as fabrics containing recycled fibers, have a natural lively color and surface where small different colored areas may appear. There may be differences between products regarding this feature.
