Dorothee Becker (1938–2023) studied languages in Frankfurt and Munich. After living in London and Paris for a time, she moved to California in 1960. A few years later, she returned to Germany with her husband, Ingo Maurer, and ran a successful shop for well-designed and practical everyday objects until 1989.
She designed the Uten. Silo in 1969. With containers of different shapes and sizes, metal hooks and clips, the Uten.Silo brings organization to offices, kitchens, workshops, bathrooms or children's rooms.
This original vintage item is well-loved, with some scratches and rust. All of the components are original. It measures 26" wide, 34" high & approx. 2" deep.
