Vintage Fiestaware is a vibrant collection of colorful ceramic dinnerware produced by the Homer Laughlin China Company between 1936 and 1973. The demitasse cup has a stick handle. These sets feature their iconic concentric ring design finished with brightly colored glossy glazes and are from their earlier productions and date to the late 1930's.
The saucer measures 5" diameter. The cup measures approximately 2.5" diameter x 2.5" deep.
Colors:
Radioactive Red - this color has a distinctly rich orange hue rather than a true primary red. This color is called radioactive red because the glaze was made with small amounts of uranium pre-WWII. Please note the EPA warns against using radioactive ceramics for eating or drinking, especially with acidic foods, due to potential uranium leaching. Intact pieces are generally considered safe to display or handle, but chipping or cracking increases exposure risks. Do not put into the microwave or dishwasher.
Cobalt Blue - Please note these glazes may contain a small amount of lead, which was commonly used in glazes and paints pre-WWII. Considered food safe unless the glaze is damaged, cracked or chipped. Do not put into the microwave or dishwasher and avoid using with highly acidic foods.
In great vintage condition with no chips. Minor glaze imperfection on the cobalt blue cup handle.
