Kent Ipsen was born in Milwaukee in 1933 & studied ceramics and glass at the University of Wisconsin and made a significant contribution as a teacher and artist to the 1960s studio glass movement. This gorgeous handblown vase is a very thick design, featuring swirls of green, bronze and blue. Not only a beautiful example of midcentury glass, but also a piece of Milwaukee design history. It is signed by Ipsen & dated 1967.
