A work of art in candlesticks, from Los Castillo, one of Taxco’s most influential silver workshops, founded in 1939 by Antonio Castillo and his brothers. Los Castillo was known for its innovative techniques, bold designs, and exceptional quality, and that describes this vintage duo perfectly. The candleholders fit a standard taper candle, and are handcrafted of Mexican silver, with lapis & malachite inlay. They date to the 1950's and have some minor wear due to their age. They are stamped with the Los Castillo Taxco logo, and hechoamano (handmade) Mexico with the number 603 which is one of the Los Castillo Eagle numbers.
Approx: 4" high x 3.5" dia. In great vintage condition, with some minor candle stain inside the vessel from use & age.
