Vintage Louis Icart "Spring (Apples)" etching with aquatint. A lovely French art deco piece from the 1920's. The artwork is professionally framed, signed and numbered "no. 55".
Louis Icart (1888–1950) was a celebrated French painter, illustrator, and printmaker who defined the Art Deco movement. Renowned for his refined etchings of women, he masterfully captured the sophistication and allure of 1920s Paris, merging fashion with romantic elegance. His prolific career produced over 500 etchings, many hand-colored, drawing inspiration from 18th-century French artistic traditions.
Measures approximately 9" x 12.5", framed to 17" x 20". Vintage frame has a few small scratches and imperfections.
