Vintage Louis Icart "Paresse" etching with aquatint. A lovely French art deco piece from the 1920's. Paresse translates to laziness in english, it is a feminine noun used to describe a lack of desire to work or make an effort. The artwork is professionally framed in an ornate frame, signed and numbered with copyright. 

Louis Icart (1888–1950) was a celebrated French painter, illustrator, and printmaker who defined the Art Deco movement. Renowned for his refined etchings of women, he masterfully captured the sophistication and allure of 1920s Paris, merging fashion with romantic elegance. His prolific career produced over 500 etchings, many hand-colored, drawing inspiration from 18th-century French artistic traditions.
