Vintage Marie Laurencin "Le Chapeau sur les Yeux"

"Le Chapeau sur les Yeux" (The hat on the eyes) by Marie Laurencin is an etching with aquatint, framed in a silver frame and matted in blue which compliments the colors of the aquatint used in the piece. Originally produced in 1923, exact date of this reproduction is unknown.

Marie Laurencin (31 October 1883 – 8 June 1956) was a French painter and printmaker. She became an important figure in the Parisian avant-garde as a member of the Cubists associated with the Section d'Or. Today, Laurencin's works are held in the collections of the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg
