Vintage handmade micro-beaded bag with beads in gold, bronze and silver, and metal (likely brass) ball snap clasp and strap. Made by Metro Bead Works in Paris, France. Metro Bag Works gained acclaim for its finely crafted beaded and embroidered evening bags, especially celebrated during the Art Deco period.
Dimensions: Exterior approximately 9.5" long including tassels, 5" wide, interior approximately 6.5" x 5", strap approximately 12" long.
In used vintage condition, wear consistent with age and use. Some beaded tassels are missing on bottom of bag. A section of the beads from the tassels that have fallen off are included inside of the bag if interested in repairing, as shown in photo. Interior lining has deteriorated in some areas. Includes original compact mirror and powder puff inside interior pocket.
