Nancy Swid and Addie Powell had a fabulous tabletop company in the 80's and 90's where they commissioned architects and designers to create dishware and cutlery for them.
Swid & Powell had both worked forKnollInternational, and then opened Swid Powell as a modernist approach to tableware. Such notable designers like Arata Isosaki, Ettore Sottsass, Zaha Hadid, George Sowden, Richard Meier, Robert Venturi, and Michael Graves did work for them. Calvin Klein produced several lines for Swid Powell, including tabletop ceramics and silverplate decor.
These gorgeous taper candlesticks are part of the Calvin Klein & Swid Powell collaboration, and measure 14.5" high & 3.5" diameter base. The silver plate is in good condition, with some mild tarnish & surface wear from use & age. Stamped Calvin Klein & Swid Powell. Made in Hong Kong
